Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Starsnation Services ("we", "our", or "us"). By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Services We Provide

Starsnation Services offers property maintenance services including lawn mowing and garden care, residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, end of lease cleaning, and rubbish removal. Services are provided within Melbourne's western suburbs, specifically the City of Wyndham and surrounding areas.

Booking and Quotes

Quotations

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are estimates based on information provided and may be adjusted if the actual scope of work differs from what was described. Final pricing will be confirmed before work commences.

Booking Confirmation

Bookings are confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us via email, SMS, or other written communication. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred date and time, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit card, and cash. For regular service arrangements, invoices will be issued and payment is due within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.

Payment Timing

For one-off services, payment is due upon completion of the work. For ongoing service agreements, invoices are typically issued weekly, fortnightly, or monthly as agreed. Late payments may incur an administration fee of $25 after 14 days overdue.

Pricing

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices may be subject to change with reasonable notice for ongoing service agreements.

Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows: cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service incur no fee, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price, and cancellations made after our team has arrived at the property may incur the full service fee.

Our Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, extreme heat, storms), unsafe working conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule at no additional cost.

Service Delivery

Access to Property

You must ensure we have safe and reasonable access to the property and all areas requiring service. This includes securing or confining pets during the service, ensuring gates are accessible and operable, and removing obstacles that may impede our work.

Site Conditions

You must inform us of any hazards, underground utilities, sprinkler systems, or other conditions that could affect our work or safety. Additional charges may apply if site conditions differ significantly from those described during quoting.

Working Hours

Our standard operating hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Services outside these hours may be available by arrangement and may incur additional charges.

Quality Guarantee

Our Commitment

We are committed to delivering high-quality services. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion. We will inspect the work and, where reasonable, rectify any issues at no additional cost.

End of Lease Cleaning

Our end of lease cleaning includes a bond-back guarantee. If you do not pass your rental inspection due to cleaning issues we were responsible for, we will return to re-clean the affected areas at no additional cost. This guarantee is subject to us being notified within 72 hours of the inspection and being given reasonable access to rectify the issue.

Limitations

Our guarantee does not cover pre-existing damage or staining, fair wear and tear, issues caused by pets or occupants after our service, areas not included in the original service scope, or matters outside our control such as mould recurrence due to ventilation issues.

Liability

Our Liability

We maintain appropriate public liability insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the cost of re-performing the service or the fee paid for that service, whichever is less, unless the loss was caused by our negligence.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for informing us of any fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable items that require special care, accurate information about the property and scope of work required, and ensuring the property is reasonably ready for our services.

Exclusions

We are not liable for damage to items left in lawns or gardens such as toys, hoses, or decorations, pre-existing damage not noted before service commencement, items damaged due to their age, condition, or inherent defects, or consequential losses such as loss of business or rental income.

Safety

The safety of our team and your property is paramount. Our staff will not undertake work in unsafe conditions, including working at heights without appropriate equipment, handling hazardous materials without proper safety measures, or working in conditions posing risk of injury. If unsafe conditions are encountered, we will discuss alternatives with you.

Equipment and Materials

Our Equipment

We provide all necessary equipment and cleaning products for our services. All equipment is maintained to professional standards and products are selected for effectiveness and safety.

Special Requirements

If you require specific products such as eco-friendly cleaning or chemical-free lawn care, please advise us at booking. Additional charges may apply for specialist products.

Privacy

We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Australian privacy law. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disputes

If you have any concerns about our services, please contact us first to resolve the matter. We are committed to fair and prompt resolution of any issues. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may seek assistance from Consumer Affairs Victoria or other applicable dispute resolution services.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated revision date. For ongoing service agreements, we will provide reasonable notice of any material changes. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
